Lifespan® Concrete Deck Design

The Lifespan Concrete Deck System provides a strong steel base with solid concrete deck allowing you to bring the comfort of an indoor or patio living space outdoors. The standard design for the Lifespan Concrete Deck System allows for a variety of concrete finishes including outdoor tile, concrete stamping, and dying that you can choose to fit your unique style.

Advantages of Concrete Decking:

  • Low Maintenance: Concrete only requires simple surface cleaning to remove leaves or wash away dirt. Since no staining, painting, or resealing is required you’ll have more time to enjoy your outdoor space than you’ll spend maintaining it.
  • Multiple Finishes: Concrete is considered to be one of the most versatile outdoor materials available.  With concrete you’ll have a wide assortment of finishes, patterns, and colors to choose from to fit your outdoor space.
  • No Nail/Screw Pops: Since there are no fasteners required for securing the concrete deck to the steel frame, there are unsightly or dangerous nails or screw pops  to guard against.
  • No Splinters: Unlike wood or composite deck boards, a concrete deck will not dry and crack to give you splinters while walking barefoot.
  • Pest Resistant: While Insects (beetles, carpenter ants, carpenter bees, and termites) or Marine Borers  will eat through wood or composite construction products, they will not eat concrete.
  • Passive Solar Benefits: Concrete is cooler in extreme heat, retains heat in extreme cold, providing a more comfortable surface to walk on.
  • Non-Combustible: With a concrete topped deck you won’t have to worry about stray ashes from your grill or fire pits since concrete does not burn or contribute to the spread of fire.
  • Weatherproof Space Beneath: With a solid concrete slab in place of wood boards you’ll have a weatherproof roof to create additional living or storage space that will not be exposed to the elements.
