Concrete Design Options

With a wide assortment of finishes, patterns, and colors possible, the Concrete Design for LifeSpan® Decks is considered to be one of the most versatile outdoor materials available. Reflect your unique style with one or a combination of these possibilities:

Concrete Stamp

Concrete Stamping

Stamping also commonly known as imprinted or patterned concrete, gives you the option to blend your deck seamlessly with your current outdoor space. A variety of unique patterns are possible with stamping your concrete deck, many of which convincingly replicate other popular building materials such as

  • Organic materials such as wood
  • Stone such as flagstone or slate
  • Masonry such as tile or brick

Concrete Stain

Coloring or Staining Concrete

Concrete can be colored using a number of different methods depending on the design you like best.   Each of these coloring methods produces different looks and comes with their own set of advantages and disadvantages.

  • Stains – Color can be integrated in subtle, earth-tones that is appealing and blends well with natural surroundings.
  • Integral Coloring – Color is integrated to the concrete mix so it is impossible to wear, chip or fade the color throughout its lifetime.
  • Color Hardener – Often used with stamped concrete, the process strengthens and adds wear resistant color to the surface of the concrete.
  • Dyeing - Concrete dyes produce vibrant colors and are especially popular for creating detailed stenciled designs - perhaps your favorite team’s logo on your deck.

Concrete Tile

Outdoor Tile

With outdoor tile you have almost unlimited options to design your new outdoor space or fit your current one. Outdoor tile is available in a variety of materials, colors, sizes, shapes, and designs. The best part of tile is the feel of tile on your feet!
